“You’ve already got what you need! You’re already doing it now, you just need to let people know! And… just keep writing, okay?”
My purpose for attending Atlanta Pitch Summit was purely “educational.” I went with wide-eyed curiosity and the desire to soak up all aspects of film/television screenwriting like a thirsty sponge. My plan was to just “sneak in” and be a fly on the wall, observing how this club of “cool kids” works because someday, I’m gonna be one of the “cool kids,” ya know! This was just a part of paying my dues.
Well, I got WAY more experience than I bargained for!
Valuable connections. Unexpected opportunities. Confirmation that I am, indeed, a “cool kid” from a TV series showrunner who said: “You’ve already got what you need! You’re doing it now, you just need to let people know! And just keep writing, okay?”
